While many of our listing clients have been represented by SMI for years, we are eager to represent new business clients looking to lease or buy a single property or space.
MultiFamily Properties
Gabe Johansen is the #1 Broker of MultiFamily apartment complexes in the mid-Willamette Valley. Following his lead, SMI has a number of Brokers who focus on listing and selling MultiFamily properties ranging from 5 units to 100+ units. Our team has the knowledge to market properties to out-of-state investors, develop creative financing structures, and reposition underperforming assets. We have a strong network of investors who work with our Brokers on a continual basis to identify, secure, and enhance their investment portfolios.
Small Plex Properties
From 2 to 4 units, Small Plex properties are solid portfolio builders for investors who are just starting out and are also great properties for seasoned investors wanting to round out a portfolio. Our Small Plex Brokers work diligently to find properties for clients who want to grow and expand their assets. They will also help clients determine the right opportunity to transition from Small Plex to MultiFamily.
Residential Properties
House listings and sales are a growing area of business for SMI, in which we have a growing number of Brokers specializing. From large homes with acreage to solid mid-sized homes to small homes in redeveloping neighborhoods, our Brokers list and sell these properties with professionalism. We market listings through social media and traditional methods.
SMI conducts the Willamette Valley’s most comprehensive rent and vacancy survey.
The SMI Apartment Update is published every summer and winter and includes data gathered from nearly 18,000 units in four counties and is widely used by industry professionals, often being referenced in appraisal reports.
SMI Real Estate, LLC was formed in 2004 by Brian Miles and Catherine Miles. Gabe Johansen bought the business in 2016.
