Aaron Drilling was originally licensed as a Real Estate Broker in 2002 while attending Linfield College and bartending at a local Salem favorite, the original Jonathan’s in historic downtown Salem. He loved being part of the community and the interactions that real estate provided with home buyers and sellers, business owners, and investors.
After graduating college with a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from Linfield, his career took him to Bend, Oregon where he became the primary broker for the largest home builder in that market in America between 2004-2010. He worked on several single-family home projects for the builder including 84 homes on the east side of Bend, 365 homes at the premier community along the Deschutes River of River Canyon Estates on the west side of Bend, and additional projects in Redmond and Albany, Oregon.
Aaron has helped hundreds of home buyers purchase their dream home or investment property while representing the needs and fiduciary duty of his clients as a Seller representative. Aaron has an in-depth understanding of not only the financial factors of the decision when purchasing and investing in real estate, but also the importance of real estate ownership for the strength and vitality of individuals, investors, and the community. He believes that the Willamette Valley is the gem of the Pacific Northwest.
The past 7 years Aaron has been intricately involved in the management and marketing side of multifamily projects within the senior housing sector. He is focusing his attention on Senior Housing sector opportunities for both individual and large-scale investors. He loves being part of SMI Real Estate for the talent and experience of the Brokers at SMI which give us the opportunity to meet our client needs with a team that is vastly involved in the local multifamily, residential, and commercial real estate markets of Salem, the Mid-Valley, Portland, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.
Aaron believes in healthy communities, and you may know him from coaching youth sports over the years including volleyball, basketball, and the Descenders Mountain Biking Club. He has previously been a speaker for the Marion Polk Food Share, a member of the Community Theater Outreach, and a mentor to men and youth in the area.
Relationships are important to Aaron. He looks forward to connecting with you to understand and help.
